We remain very lucky to have so many dedicated volunteers who give up a considerable amount of their time in order to help with transport, meal deliveries, catering and support at the day centre and assisting at the shop.NDC has over 50 volunteers at present and we are always greatly impressed by how much they all care about the charity. Many undertake two or three different roles for us and sometimes even on the same day! Without their help and support we would struggle to exist, especially in our shop, where Gill our Shop Manager, relies heavily on the continued support given by her volunteers, to keep the shop open six days per week.Thankfully we continue to attract many new volunteers, which, is wonderful for us, as it gives us the opportunity to offer so much more to our clients.We have a volunteer representative panel so that we can work closely with our volunteers to improve communication, training, roles and conditions, plus set up the all-important social events we have throughout the year! |
